  • Vertrauen will be down on/around Dec-16-2016

    I'm moving house and so the computers (and Internet provider equipment/service) must be moved to the new house. This will be occurring on/about Friday, December 16th.

    This means the following .synchro.net services/hosts will be offline during this time: vert, cvs, www, ftp, wiki, mail, dove, dyndns, and dns1.

    When these servers/services come back online, I expect to have the same IP addresses that I currently do.

    There is a backup DNS server for the synchro.net domain (dns2.synchro.net), run by Deuce (Stephen Hurd), which should be functional during this time. So existing <yourbbs>.synchro.net hostnames will continue to resolve. But if your IP address changes during this time, you won't be able to register the new IP until vert and dyndns.synchro.net are back up.

    Also, just in case you need it, there's a CVS mirror (also provided by Deuce) at cvs-mirror.synchro.net. Hopefully the downtime will be short,

    Just a reminder: the move is still on for tomorrow. And I have a hard disk that now needs replacement, so it could be several hours, but I'll keep it as short as possible.
