    I'm curious as to what everyones favorite Arcade/MAME game is. Games I love, and have been playing lately have been :

    * Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara
    * Dungeons and Dragons: Tower of Doom
    * Black Tiger
    * Golden Axe
    * Knights of the Round
    * Magic Sword
    * Strider
    * Cadillacs & Dinosaurs

    Anyone have any other games they love that I should try?

    Magic sword was fun. Also the Dungeons and Dragons ones.

    I used to play that one called 1942. A top-down scroller about piloting a plane and shooting lots of planes down.

    Not exactly arcades, but the Metal Slug games totally rocked.

    Ahh yes... Metal Slug! Those games were pretty good. They are actually on my list once I finish up some other games I've been meaning to play. As much as I played arcade games back in the day, I've actually never touched Metal Slug.

    Well, I liked them so badly that I bought Metal Slug 3 for the PS2. It came with an extra mode in which you can play a big part of the final level as one of the mooks (!). You get only one live and you have to beat the segment in one go without dying. You get to chose who to play as: the grenadier, the bazooka dude or the dude with the shield. None of them is easy.
